On March 29, 1997, the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California's Disaster Response Committee, in conjunction with the California Office of Emergency Services, will offer a training seminar to be held at the California Institute of Technology campus, 1200 East California St in Pasadena. The training course will be held in the Baxter Lecture Hall within Baxter Hall located near the big round building that is Beckman Auditorium. The well known "Earthquake Lady", Dr. Kate Hutton from Cal Tech, has been asked to briefly address the seminar in a guest appearance. Thanks to Rick Ranous and Doug Litchfield for their efforts in arranging the program and to Rod Spears for his help with the meeting room The identification card issued from this course will not have an expiration date, therefore eliminating the need for periodic re-qualification. The application fee is $60. To receive a faxed application, contact Don Gilbert at SEAOSC, 5360 Workman Mill Road, Whittier CA 90601, Phone (310)908-6131, or contact my office. See You There!
