Bill, you obviously looked at an old version of RISA-2D. I'm running the
current 2.1d beta of RISA-3D which is 32-bit with complete graphical editing
(drawing) of the model. This is combined with RISA's tried and true

We also have STAAD3 Ver. 22 and VisualAnalysis Ver 3.0 in our office and
RISA-3D (2.1d) solves problems about 30% faster than STAAD and 300% (that's
not a typo) faster than VisualAnalysis. RISA's graphics also blow away any
other analysis program I've ever seen. The only drawback as far as I'm
concerned is that RISA is a DOS program, but I'm having no trouble running
it under Windows95. The guys at RISA promise a windows version this summer,
but you know how that goes.

Incidentally, according to the RISA web site, the guy who wrote RISA also
wrote part of FastFrame.
