Fwd: Is anchorage of infill masonry, to structure, required in Zone 1.

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Is it a requirement of the UBC that, EVEN IN ZONE 1, all infill brick =
masonry walls be positively anchored to structural members providing =
lateral stability (floors and columns).

If such anchoring is not a requirement, in zone 1, I would be grateful =
if specific reference be provided from UBC or other applicable codes to =
support the case for such exemption.
