Fwd: Project in Puerto Rico

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
My firm has an opportunity to serve as the structural engineer on a
project in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The project is comprised of nine
buildings ranging from 9 to 11 stories above grade and 1 or 2 levels of
parking below grade. All construction will be concrete frame. I have
no experience in Puerto Rico. Before deciding whether or not to accept
this assignment, I must answer the following questions:

1.	What are the PE licensing requirements in Puerto Rico? Is
reciprocity possible?

2.	What building code governs the design? Are there any unusual

Any input that you could provide would be sincerely appreciated.
