Yes.  I have done this many times.  The only trick is to provide an
adequate transfer beam to distribute the load to the new footings.  It
is relatively easy if there is a pedestal.  Then you can attach a
transfer beam to the pedestal.  The transfer beam then extends over the
new footing.

Is it possible to increase the bearing capacity of a footing by
enlarging it without underpinning ?
