Re: Continuing Professional Development

Some time ago, on one of the television news magazine programs, there
was a segment probably on tax deductible expenses and used attendance
at required CPD courses as an example. The profession that they
highlighted was the medical profession. In a room set up for about a
couple of hundred, there were maybe a dozen people. Where were all
the other physicians? Why, out on the golf course!

If CPD credit is given for simply signing up and paying for a seminar,
then requiring CPD definitely isn't worth it. If there are better
teeth in CPD requirements, then it might be worth it.
