  Per paragraph 5.3.2 of the "Specifications For Aluminum Structures", which
was published by the Aluminum Association, the allowable tensile load per
aluminum fastener = 1/2.2*(minimum strength of connection between fastener and
sheet) where 2.2 is the factor of safety. Some additional information is
provided so instead of copying it in this post, indicate your FAX number and
I'll send it to you next week. Note that this is a 1982 edition so I don't
know if the information is current.
