The SEAONC Computer Applications Committee is pleased to announce that the1998 Structural Engineering Computer Exposition is right around the corner.
The day-long Exposition will be held on Tuesday May 5, 1998 at the Financial
District Holiday Inn located in San Francisco,  California.  This year's
Expo will showcase the latest developments in the ever-changing world of
structural engineering and computing.

SEAONC's Expo is the region's only exposition devoted to structural
analysis, design, and computer aided drafting (CAD) software.  Because it
happens only once every other year, this event is a "must-see" for
engineers, managers, and principals who want to stay on top of the
technological advances that are changing the way we work.  The Expo
traditionally draws about 15 exhibitors, and the following vendors
have already indicated that they plan to attend: BQE Software, Inc.,
Computers & Structures Inc., Degenkolb Engineers, LARSA, Inc., Ram Analysis, Hilti, Keymark, RISA Technologies,  SC Solutions, Inc., Simpson Strong-Tie Company, Inc. and Trus Joist MacMillan.

As an added attraction, this year's Expo is coupled with special
training/demonstration sessions to be presented by vendors and professionals
working in the area of structural engineering. The topics of these sessions
will range from nuts-and-bolts structural computing techniques to high-level
technology overviews. The sessions will ensure that all Expo attendees learn
something useful and applicable to their work.

Software producers interested in  displaying their products may register
for the exposition booths, which are offered at $700 each, by contacting Dr. Hassan Sedarat at SC Solutions, Inc., 3211 Scott Boulevard, Santa Clara, CA 95054, phone no. 408/486-6060 ext.15, fax 408/486-6083, email hassan(--nospam--at)scsolutions.com.  Also, registered vendors who are interested in presenting  training and demonstration sessions can inquire about availability.

So mark your calendars for SEAONC's once-every-other-year Computer Expo!
