RE: You Are Getting Older

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I'm going to stay out of this one, since I've been ill for the last week.
Normally I would agree with Neil, but today - based on Neil's comparison - I
feel about 48 going on 100.
BTW, there is a great song called the "Middle Age Blues" by a group of
former professional woman who started a blues band called Uppity Women
Blues. They record on Alligator Records and if your inclined, I highly
recommend this for their wit and humor. I had the chance to meet them at a
blues festival in Indian Wells, California (my home town area) and they are
just wonderful people. Sometimes we need this humor to put bring a new
perspective to our lives.

|What's with this middle age stuff?
|You're only as old as you feel. I do a little running and I'm upset when
|I'm beaten by a 71+ year old man in a 50 K. I'm upset when a 73 year old
|women who sprints up the trail when I say that I want to go by!
|There's a bunch of us - some are engineers and architects who aren't
|accepting this old age stuff!
|Some of us routinely run 50k and 50 milers and even 100 milers. So this
|AGE HAPPENS stuff doesn't apply to us young at heart Depression Baby's.
