	"subcontract" out the work to another firm?  it seem to provide the
benefits of avoiding #1 and #2, while allowing the benefits of #3 without the
long-term hassle of hiring new employees.  One disadvantage, though, is now 
you would have to interface with the hierarchy of another firm and their other jobs.
