SEAOC PLAN REVIEW - EXTRA EDITION

PROPOSITION 224 ALERT!

The campaign to defeat Proposition 224 will be intensifying over the next few
months and weeks before the June 2nd election. Indications are that members
of the design community have not as yet acknowledged the negative impact on
every engineer, architect, and design professional in private practice in
California if this initiative passes.

We need to make every effort to get the word out, Proposition 224 must be
defeated!

Of course, no amount of opposition will matter if we aren't voting. So, here
is a voter registration reminder. In order to vote in the June election, you
need to be registered by May 4, 1998.

There is no shortage of ways to register. You can even get started from your
own desk, by going to the No on Prop. 224 web site at www.no224.org. Click on
"links" and download the appropriate form from the "register to vote" section.
You can also register at the Department of Motor Vehicles or the County
Registrar of Voters.

For additional information about the No On Prop. 224 Campaign, or about
registering to vote, call Taxpayers Against Proposition 224 at 310/996-2600 in
Southern California, or 650/340-0470 in Northern California.

REMEMBER....To be ready to Vote No on June 2....register to vote by May 4!!!
