The Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) states a max vertical
deflection for a top running runway beam of L/600 (based on maximum wheel
loads without impact) with a max lateral deflection of L/400 (based on 10%
of the maximum wheel loads without impact)

For an under-running runway beam, the vertical deflection should not exceed
L/450 (also based on maximum wheel loads without impact).
