RE: AUTOCAD To MICROSTATION

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Tahir:

When you hatch in R14, AutoCAD represents the pattern in a new way (compared to previous releases) - it uses a hatch object rather than an anonymous block. It may be that the MicroStation translator doesn't know how to deal with the new R14 hatch objects - check with Bentley).

One workaround, although it's a pretty ugly one, is to explode the hatch objects before converting to MicroStation. A slightly better approach would be to save the drawing in R13 format before letting MicroStation translate it. When you save in R13 format, R14 converts the hatch objects to the older anonymous block representation.
