HS25 loading is achieved by increasing the AASHTO standard HS20-44 loading
by 25% .
For truck loads, multiply the axle loads by 1.25, and for lane loads
multiply the uniform load as well as the concentrated loads by 1.25.
I would strongly recommend that you consult the AASHTO Standard
Specifications for Highway Bridges, not only for the HS standard loads,
but for live load positioning to achieve maximum stress, impact, ect. Also,
verify and document with your client as to the applicable version of AASHTO
(i.e. say sixteenth edition) as well as the design method (working stress,
load factor or possibly LRFD).
