Someone I work with was asked to do a design for a bridge.  He was told that HS25 is the standard loading.  Does anyone know what the corresponding axle loads for this loading would be?
The standard loading is an HS20 truck, which has two, 16-ton axles in the rear, at least 14 feet apart, although you're supposed to vary the spacing for maximum loading, and a 4-ton axle 14 feet in front of those.  To get an HS25 loading, you increase each of the loads by 25%.
