Re: vortex shedding

	I'm not sure (read "this is just a guess"), but it may have to do with 
the fact that near-ground wind speeds are not generally in the regime that 
tends to generate vortex shedding on structural-sized components such as 
stacks and braces.  I know that for a cable you have to consider the entire
length exposed.  I'll try to find the reference I used the last time I did this.
