RE: scrap steel / steel punchings

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I have done a lot of work for coal mines and the only thing I have ever seen
used for conveyor belt take-ups/counterweights is metal punchings, concrete,
or cut metal plates. The metal punchings seems to work the best because you
can easily change the weight.

Does anyone know of a west coast steel fabricator / machine shop
that
would have some scrap steel punchings to be used for a
counterweight?
Any other suggestions for a relatively inexpensive method of
creating a
	counterweight?

	Thanks
