American Concrete Institute Convention

		Dear Structural Engineer Association Subscriber:

		Please join the American Concrete Institute as it hosts
the Fall 1998 International Convention at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel
in Los Angeles, October 25 through October 30.  The main theme for the
convention is "Seismic Constructability."  Seminars will include feature
topics, such as "Seismic Upgrading of Lifelines," "Retrofitting Historic
Structures," and "Seismic Emergency Response:  I-10 Repair."  Also
included, will be major concrete projects of the Los Angeles area, such
as the Getty Center Tram and Cathedral Project.  Local research and
engineering success will be a part of the seminars, as well as examples
of successful seismic design.  The speakers for these seminars are
world-renowned leaders in the construction industry.

		The American Concrete Institute looks forward to having
professionals from all aspects of contracting, engineering and
construction-related technologies.  For more information about the
