No, the Chance anchor system is not suited for lightpole foundations. Chance
anchors were initially used in the utility industry, this is true, but for tensile
installations such as to resist overturning of a four legged tower. Eventually
they started being used for bearing installations. For the past few years Chance
has been pushing hard to get into the underpinning business and have had some
success. They do not have any moment capacity as would be required for a stadium
lighting pole. Stick with caissons.
