When you use SRSS load combination of STAAD-III, all the compression  members are designed as tesile members in design mode.
Are moments constant along members?
 
 
 
YES. SRSS COMMAND OF STAAD-III ALWAYS GIVES POSITIVE VALUES. THEREFORE COMBINATED LOAD OF  NEGATIVE  STATIC MOMENT AND
 SRSS EARTHQUAKE INDUCED MOMENT IS UNCONSERVATIVE. IN ADDITION, WHEN SOME OF INPUT COMMAND IS OUT OF STAAD-III RULE, STAAD-III ANALYSIS TEND TO GIVE COMPLETELY WRONG ANALYSIS OUTPPUT NOT STOPPING ANALYSIS MODULE WITH ERROR MESSAGE. THEREFORE STAAD-III USERS SHALL CAREFULLY REVIEW ANALYSIS OUTPUT TO SEE WHETHER IT IS RIGHT OR WRONG. FOR INFORMATION, YOU CAN SEE QUALITY REPORT(PROGRAM ERROR REPORT) IN THE WEB SITE OF STAAD-III. BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE REPORT DO NO SHOW ALL THE PROGRAM ERRORS.
