ASCE Forensic Engineering January 12 Meeting

Dr. James Slosson, Engineering Geologist, is the guest speaker at the January
12 meeting of the Forensic Engineering Technical Group of ASCE, Los Angeles
Section.  Dr. Slosson has worked in Southern California for several decades,
and has been involved in forensic studies in California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah,
and Tennessee.  He is co-author of the 1992 book, "Forensic Engineering:
Environmental Case Histories for Civil Engineers and Geologists", published by
Academic Press.  He is an engineering geology consultant with Slosson and
Associates, and a member of the California Seismic Safety Commission.

Dr. Slosson's topic will be: 

"The Need to Have Well-prepared, Easy to Read, and Well-Illustrated Exhibits
for Deposition and Trial"

He will discuss his experiences related to preparing your client/attorney.
This includes a discussion of communicating the technical issues, the
vocabulary/jargon, and how to prepare easy to read and understandable
graphics.
