Dead Stop on the SEAINT List Server (Bela I. Palfalvi)

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I received the message below (Message 22), and others, among the SEAINT
Digest for yesterday, 6 January 1998. What a small world it is.

I know this guy! His name is Bela I. Palfalvi. He's a structural engineer
(and also a client of ours) who is one of the Seismic Coordinators for the
General Services Administration (GSA). He works for GSA Region 4 in San
Francisco and is responsible for the national coordination of all the FEMA
seismic evaluations performed by all of the GSA regions for all of GSA's
facilities nationwide -- a big task.

It appears that the reason everybody was getting the "Delivery-Report
(failure) for beela.palfalvi(--nospam--at)" reply message, other than the Fed's
goofy e-mail systems (that's another story), is that Bela had subscribed (or
perhaps someone did it for him) to the SEAINT List Server with an
incorrectly spelled e-mail address. He probably assumed that it just didn't
work and forgot about it. His correct e-mail address is:
bela.palfalvi(--nospam--at) (i.e, there's only one letter "E" in Bela).

I'm copying Bela directly with this message so that he may resubscribe
correctly to the list server (unless you want to do it for him, Shafat).

P.S. Bela, you owe me. I urge you to resubscribe to the SEAINT List
Server. It really does work well, but you have to spell your name
correctly. Take care.

I have removed the problem address. Thank you.

I often get the following reply message when posting to the SEAINT
list server. It seems that the address beela.palfalvi(--nospam--at) is a dead
stop. Can I suggest that it be removed from the list?
