My favorite resource is the Fastener Design Manual by NASA.  A good practice
in fasteners is to design to develop the strength of the bolt wherever
possible.

A quick question, I'm trying to find bolt values for if I tap into A36
plate and thread in bolts. AISC tables are for bolts with hardened nuts,
do same values apply if its a tapped plate?
