Bolt Holes, Same Problem, Different Application

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Here is one that sounds like the same problem but for a different
application. When bolting a continuous angle to a wall, fabricators in
this area typically like the holes an 1/8" oversize. This diameter
usually matches the drill bit size required by the anchor manufacturer
to install the anchor. It obviously exceeds the 1/16" oversize
requirement. What if it slips a 1/16" and then goes into bearing? Any
comments?
