Re: Concrete Frame Rigidity

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
it has been a long time since i have done a manual calculation for frame
stiffness and rigidities, but if i remember right a good reference for these
calculations can be found in "Design of Multi-storey Reinforced Concrete
Building for Earthquake Motions" by Blume, Newmark and Corning. This can be
obtained from Portland Cement Association.

to Francis Ang - there was a CEP seminar conducted by ASEP on designing a
four-storey concrete building using manual calculations. I do not know if
they still have the seminar papers but you can check with ASEP.

hope this info is useful.
