Also don't forget "Earthquake," another 70's disaster flick starring
Charleton Heston as a structural engineer who crusades for better
seismic design before the quake, then ends the movie diving down a sewer
to save his wife (whom he is about to cheat on).  Somewhat mixed signals
coming from Hollywood that decade...
