There was a thread on the Civil Engineering newsgroup several years ago about 
airplanes crashing into buildings,  and the buildings amazingly surviving 
with little impact.  Besides the B-25 into the Empire State Building,  I 
recall discussion of a 747 freighter crashing thru a building in Europe,  
shearing its wings,  and then continuing on to crash,  leaving a gaping hole 
within the structure.
