Re: Wind loading in Miami

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]

The wind speed is 110 mph and the local code, South Florida Building Code
(SFBC) is the governing code. However, SFBC will direct you to ASCE 7-95
with some exception

You may contact Miami -Dade Building Department to get a copy of the code.
Beware that SFBC has its own product approval process similar to ICBO...

good luck

Is anyone familiar with the code that governs wind loadings for one and
two story dwellings in the Miami (Fla.) area?. I need to know which code
to use.

Thank you,
