Section 1806.6 reads "not more than 12 inches... or LESS than 7 bolt
diameters". There should not be a conflict with the 6x6 post.

There is a revised section of sill bolt spacing that reads that the sill
bolt shall not be more than 12 from each end of the sill piece or SEVEN BOLT
DIAMETERS. For a 5/8" diameter bolt, this is 4-3/8" which will not allow
enough room for a 6x6 post.

Has anyone figured out how to frame a 6x6 post at the end of a wall or next
to a door?
