Subject: Virus - Y2Kcount.exe

FYI - Army Computer Emergency Response Team (ACERT) has confirmed that army
EMAIL users may be exposed to a virus infected email attachment called
"Y2Kcount.exe".

The ACERT staff is working with the commercial Antivirus teams to obtain a
fix and will make it available as soon as possible.

Recommend that if you get email with a Y2Kcount.exe attachment, do not open
it. Your current Antivirus software (Norton or Mcafee)will not protect you,
because the detection code hasn't been released as of 17 Sep 99.
