Title: RE: Metric Designation of Wire Reinforcement

Normally, the number after the "MW" is the area of the wire in square millimetres.

10 ga. = 9.1 mm2
9ga. = 11.1 mm2
8ga. = 13.3 mm2
6 ga. = 18.7 mm2
4 ga. = 25.8 mm2
2 ga. = 34.9 mm2
0 ga. = 47.6 mm2

MW 71 seems really high.
Is there a chance this is a #3 bar?
