RE: Vehicular Crash Barriers

Both of the aforementioned AASHTO publications refer to a PL-2 (Performance
Level 2) bridge railing, which is "used for high-speed main line structures
on freeways, expressways, highways, and areas with a mixture of heavy
vehicles and maximum tolerable speeds".
