FIXING RENTRANT CORNERS ON BEAMS; ANY IDEAS OUT THERE ?

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
We have a situation were some beams were fabricated and were not
appropriately cut (in the web) with a nice radius (i.e, the nasty reentrant
corner). Unfortunately a lot of these beams have been put in place and the
contractor is wondering if he can "fix-it" in the field. Does anybody have
any ideas how this can be handled ? Does AISC have any position on a method
of correcting this problem after initial fabrication ?

Thanks in Advance
