NCSEA Structural Engineering Winter Institute

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
The early registration deadline for the NCSEA Structural Engineering
Winter Institute is only three weeks away. This program will feature
LRFD
of structural steel and wood, and simplified LRFD of concrete. It will
be at the Hyatt Regency in Miami from March 6 through 10, 2000.

If you're still not convinced you should attend, consider the following:

1. The program is in a wonderful location at a great time of year. For
more information on Miami, they can visit the Greater Miami Convention
and Visitors Bureau website, http://www.miamiandbeaches.com/

2. You can get a year's worth of continuing education at one time, in
one place.

3. The registration is a small fraction of cost of ASCE or
university-sponsored continuing education.

4. If you're concerned about being away from the office for an entire
week, consider that it's more disruptive to your schedule to be away
two days here, one day there, and two days somewhere else. Plus, that
would entail three times the travel cost and additional lost travel
days.

5. This will be a comprehensive program - with presentations by the
people and organizations directly responsible for, or involved with,
development of the very material that will be presented.

Talk to your colleagues, co-workers, friends, employees, former
employees,
and urge them to also attend.

The complete program and registration are available in the Fall issue
of Structure magazine, from the NCSEA office (312-372-8035), or at the
NCSEA website, http://www.ncsea.com/lrfd.htm.

The NCSEA Structural Engineering Winter Institute is set to be the
premier annual educational event for structural engineers.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Miami.
