Strongly suggest that the UBC align
itself with the NEHRP values for R. BTW,
I think this is going to happen anyway
since the IBC will be almost all NEHRP
anyway. The biggest thing in the IBC
that will not be NEHRP is the redundancy
factor. All the Na and Nz and near
source factors will be gone by the 2003
if not the 2000 edition. I have not read
the 2000 draft recently enough to
remember what the differences were.

I am gone for about a week to watch my
son bowl in some tournaments in Las
Vegas so I will be out of touch. (Yes, I
will have my computer but my wife won't
let me sit at it for very long!)
