Re: Tek Screws

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]

I have a ITW Buildex catalog here and their longest and biggest Wood-to-metal
TEK screw is 1/4" dia. x 3" long for attaching 2" thick and thinner wood nailers
to steel framing. The steel framing thickness is limited to 1/4" max. Wood
nailers or steel thicker than this will probably have to be thru-bolted &
countersunk. If you don't have a catalog ITW Buildex phone number is
800-323-0720.

Can Tek Screws be successfully used for material thicker than standard plywood?
E.g. Through, say, 2" material and still be considered "attached" to steel.
