Try Ductile Iron Pipe Research Assoc. (http//www.dipra.org). They have a
free computer program.

Subject: Loads on Buried Pipes

Group,

I need a reference for evaluating a buried pipe subjected to surcharge
loads. Specifically, Ductile Iron Pipe. Mine is 48" diameter, buried
at least 5' below grade, and will be subjected to wheel loading. Does
anybody have a reference for this kind of evaluation?

Thanks in advance, Michael Ritter, PE
