Precast Moment-Frame Lateral Systems in Zone 4

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
In response to the garage related question of Teresa Dellies posted a couple of days ago:

There are 2 such systems that our company have used recently in parking structures and office/retail buildings.

One is the "DDC"-frames where the beams and columns are connected with the aid of a proprietary ductile connector manufactured by Dywidag. You can find a few articles in the PCI Journal about this.

The other is the "Hybrid"-frame which is utilizing combination of post-tensioned and mild reinforcing at the connection.
