Omega-Not and Braced Frame Baseplate Connections

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Section 2213.8.3 Bracing Connections (p2-258) states that braced frame
connections be designed for the lesser of the axial strength in tension,
Omega x the seismic axial load, or the maximum force that can be delivered
to the brace.

My question:

Should the steel design of the anchor bolts be check for Omega loads ?

The concrete design of the anchor bolts is based on section 1923 (p2-168) of
the 97 UBC and does not require the use of the omega loads.
