Re: concrete bond to steel pipes

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
The U.S.-Japan Cooperative Research Program has been studying
concrete-filled tubes for several years. University of Washington Professor
Charles Roeder has been studying bond stress in particular. He should be
able to point you in the right direction.

Subject: concrete bond to steel pipes

Does anyone know of any references that give an allowable bond stress for
concrete placed inside a steel pipe. Also, as the concrete inside the pipe
shrinks some or all of this bond may deteriorate?

thanks in advance
