You might try the Stanford Bookstore, a couple of years ago strolling through the book store I found that they had an entire section dedicated to Timoshenko's, Plates and Shells (a really good book) along with the Elastic Stability (also good), but includes a Strength of Materials, Continuum Mechanics and many others.

Hello all,

Does anyone own a copy of Timoshenko's book "Theory of Elastic Stability"?
It's an older one, but he's a classic author and I was contemplating the
purchase.  Has the book proven to be useful, for both practical applications
and good background on the subject?

Any comments would be appreciated.  Thanks.
