We are clearly moving towards a global economy, courtesy of technology.
More work typically done by professionals in the US will be done by
professionals and non-professionals outside the US regardless of how many
visas politicians in congress allow.  It should be obvious to everyone that
technology leads and that politics will never catch up.  (Its like
technology is Tiger Woods, and politics is the every other pro golfer).

That being the case, wouldn't it be better to allow more visas so the work
is at least performed in the US, and those folks spend their salaries here
instead of overseas?
