Title: RE: Diaphragm deflection for plywood floor

If this building is in the City or County of Los Angeles, there are limits placed on the maximum length, and the aspect ratio, of the cantilevered diaphragm.  Section 2315.1 of the County Code was amended.

this is the type of house that fell down in the '94 earthquake, and which
could easily fall down in a strong wind, if no shear at the front of the
garage and no holdowns.
Keep up the direction you are going.
