Remember that people sometimes walk up these ramps too.  1:12 (8.33%) is
all the law allows for people.

Rite-Hite dock leveler manufacturer says 7% maximum for electric pallet
trucks, 10% maximum for electric forklifts and 15% maximum for gas/lp lift
trucks.  Those are maximums for the equipment, it doesn't mean that those
are desirable slopes.
