Two possible solutions:

1.    Locate the leg in the wall vertically (pointing upward) or as you
suggest horizontal. Also provide a vertical bar in the wall at this
point (either continuous or a short bar depending on the design
requirements of the wall).

2.    Drill a 1/2" dia. hole and drive a short #4 dowel thru the plank
into the bond beam at say 48" oc. Spancrete recommends a minimum of 5
1/2" bearing to avoid breaking off the masonry or possibly the plank
edge with this detail.
