TECHNOLOGY: Vinod Dham, who led Intel's development of the Pentium processor, joins the Irvine company

IRVINE -- Vinod Dham arrived in the United States in 1975 from India with just $10 in his pocket and an engineering scholarship to the University of Cincinnati.

On Monday, Dham sold his company, Silicon Spice Inc., to Broadcom for stock worth about $1.24 billion.          By CHRIS FARNSWORTH, The Orange County Register
