Bearing strength under a pin is covered in LRFD Specification Section J8. Essentially the design strength is 0.75 x 1.8 x Fy x Apb, where Apb is the projected bearing area. There is similar coverage in ASD, where the strength os 0.9 x Fy x Apb. Pin bearing strength is lower than that for a bolt in bearing because the pin does not confine the material upon which it bears as a bolt does.

P=force
t=plate thickness
E=modulus of elasticity
D=hole diameter (in the case that hole is greater than 1/32 in. than the
pin diameter)
d=pin diameter
