Craig:

I think that you will find the Sg = 5.17 and Hardness = 6.

Magnetite in small grains, is the black component of most beach sands.

Does any one know what the active and passive lateral pressure coefficients
are for magnetite?

Currently I know that it is a very fine metal with SG=4.0. I am considering
modeling it as a silt.
