Another cool thing about Ft Point is that the little arch affair at that 
end of the Golden Gate Bridge was included to keep from demolishing Ft 
Point when the Golden Gate Bridge went up. One of the guides at Ft Point 
said that it was done at the request of the bridge designer who was 
apparently much taken with Ft Point. A good time to see the Fort is at 
night by lantern light, BTW.
