Greetings,

When using Auger cast piles, the margin of error on part the contractor is
quite large. A more reliable method, when drilling piles, adopted outside
the US here in the Middle East is the Bentonite Slurry method . However,
this method reduces the friction capacity, depending on the end bearing
capacity of the pile.

Can anyone shed more light if this method is used in the US or not?
